Kindness group forming

A group based on the concept of Random Acts of Kindness has been formed.

It works like this: A group of 10-20 people meet once a month, putting $10 in a bowl. A name is drawn from another bowl and that person, the Kindness Keeper, has one month to give away the money as they see fit. The Kindness Keeper will report to the group the following month on how they spread the kindness.

Some ideas include purchasing fast food gift cards for the homeless; making cash donations to area non-profits or throwing a pizza party for Heirlooms or Habitat volunteers. You might meet the senior bus at Walmart and hand each rider a $10 bill. The money can be given away in small or large amounts. It’s up to the Kindness Keeper. There will be no criticism on how the kindness is spread. To allow everyone to participate, no one can be the Kindness Keeper two months in a row.

If you are interested in participating in the kindness group, the next meeting is Wed. Jan. 17 at 5:30 at the Camp Robber bar. Call 417-0909 with questions.
