Library back up to speed

The Montrose Library is back to a full schedule, with a Friday opening on Jan. 5. “There was a good turnout, with lots of smiling patrons and staff,” said Board of Trustees member Dave Segal.

The November election raised the mil levy from 3.0 to 3.85 mils, which allowed the library to fund the two days it had been closed each week, as well as the positions that had been cut back.

The library had been closed on Fridays and Saturdays since January, 2016.

The new hours are:
Sunday 1-5
Monday – Thursday 10-7
Friday 10-6
Saturday 10-5
