About The PIC Place
Community Dental Clinic, organized in 1999 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was a collaborative effort of community members, private practice providers, and Montrose Memorial Hospital to serve the unmet oral health needs of the poor.  With a continuing demand for care to an ever-expanding patient base, Community Dental Clinic came together with partners Delta-Montrose Technical College through the Delta County School District 50J and Midwestern Colorado Mental Health Center, dba, the Center for Mental Health to discuss the needs of patients and future patients. Through discussion and then planning, the partners created a business plan that included comprehensive health care for low income and indigent individuals throughout the region. The Community Dental Clinic would file a doing business as name, the PIC Place (Partners in Integrated Care) and move their entire dental operation to a new location that would meet the square footage needs of the new effort and allow an expansion that would help meet the current and future demand for dental care. Through partnerships, a single point of delivery would allow individuals to receive comprehensive, fully-integrated primary care, preventative and restorative dental, vision services, and behavioral health services.
